What are Peppol Participant Identifier Schemes?
Peppol uses ISO 6523 based identifier schemes to uniquely identify participants (businesses and organizations) in the network. Each participant is identified by a combination of:
- ICD Code - International Code Designator (e.g., 9930 for German VAT)
- Identifier Value - The actual identifier (e.g., DE123456789)
For example, a German company with VAT number DE123456789 would have the Peppol ID: 9930:DE123456789
Source: This list is based on the official OpenPeppol Code Lists v9.4 (October 2025).
